The BCM & Resiliency Program Manager, Science and Diagnostics will govern and manage the Business Continuity Management (BCM) & Resiliency Program for the European Region of the Science & Diagnostics (SDx) Division of Mars Petcare. As external threats such as cyber incidents, political unrest, and extreme weather increasingly disrupt business operations, this role ensures that the BCM Program adapts to support business growth, mitigate risks, and maintain market share. The goal is to strengthen the organization’s resiliency, reduce operational blind spots, and enhance its ability to recover from unplanned events, minimizing financial impacts while continuing to meet customer commitments. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with EU Operations Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, BCM leaders, and cross-functional teams. The Associate will support local sites in their BCM activities, providing guidance on preparedness, risk mitigation, and recovery actions when the BCM process is activated.
What are we looking for?
You have a Bachelor’s degree in business or related technical field or similar
You have demonstrated great project and change management skills in previous roles
You have an internal audit qualification and understand risk methodology
You are used to working with cross functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and driving results
What will be your key responsibilities?
You will be implementing and maintaining the BCM & Resiliency Program across SDx Europe; including the three Pillars of BCM; (1) Critical Process Map (BIA), (2) Response, Recovery & Restoration Plans for the BIG 4 Impacts (loss of technology, loss of Associates, loss of critical third party vendor and loss of a primary location) and (3) Risk I.D. Mitigation and Status for each Laboratory and facility across SDx EU.
You will be collaborating with Global Petcare BCM & Resiliency teams to deploy, govern, and optimize the BCM program
You will provide preparedness, contingency planning, and resiliency guidance to BCM Leaders & Managers, Regional functional colleagues and to the Regional Leadership Team
You will report operational risk and escalations to the governance forum within SDx, Petcare BCM LT & Petcare Operational Imperative SteerCo / forum each Quarter
You will drive, align, and review disaster recovery priorities with the Regional Leadership team in the event technology requires restoration at multiple sites
