About the Role

Our ambition is to establish a fully digitalized Finance Function by enhancing data quality, expanding analytics and automation capabilities, and improving financial planning. This function is integral to aligning financial planning with strategic and operational goals while ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance in core finance processes—including closing, reporting, invoicing, and forecasting.

 

The Finance Function operates in close collaboration with various organizations within Volvo Group Digital & IT (e.g., People & Culture, Data, Architecture, Digital Delivery, and Technology), as well as Finance teams across Truck Divisions, Business Areas, Group Functions, and Group Finance.

As a Business Controller – Digital Delivery, you will:

Lead business control activities for Chapters within Volvo Group Digital & IT Digital Delivery Provide proactive financial controlling to help achieve financial targets Manage financial interactions with a variety of stakeholders Deliver in-depth financial analyses to support data-driven decision-making Support financial goal fulfillment with a forward-thinking, strategic approach This will be us - your new colleagues within Finance

The function works closely together and with other parts of the organization, both in Group Digital & IT organization as well as with the other Digital & IT and the Finance communities in the Group. 
We are searching for our new colleague to be part of the team managing Digital Delivery Business Control. The team consists of approximately 10 Controllers, located primarily in Europe and Asia, and are performing overall business control activities including follow-up, planning and estimates of IT cost and deliveries. Being a business controller in this team, you will closely interact with and provide financial advice/support to management and managers in the Digital Delivery area of responsibility. Aside of being a true co-driver to business you will also be part of contributing to enabling the digital transformation journey

Your strategic mindset allows you to transform financial data into actionable insights, and your analytical skills drive operational efficiency. You are adaptable, proactive, and excited about contributing to a digital transformation journey.

 

Key Qualifications

Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) Fluent in business English Positive attitude, with a results-driven approach and a sense of fun at work Experience in business controlling and management interactions is a plus
