**What You'll Be Doing**
As a member of CIBC's team, the Analyst, Business Controls is responsible for supporting the department in the delivery of effective regulatory supervision, risk monitoring, mitigation and consulting, proactively analyzing and recommending enhancements to existing business processes. The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to assess risk related to client accounts, providing risk management investigation and corrective actions services based on documented procedures that support multi-segment line management. The Analyst, Business Controls exercises independent judgement within defined procedures. The role provides recommendations for best practices through experiences and observation, for use by other team members as part of knowledge sharing and to ensure consistency in approach. the role solves business, operations and technical problems within the scope of their job, escalating unusual cases outside of documented procedures to management. The role receives general instructions on routine work and requires limited direction, collaborating to find simple solutions that make it easy for clients to bank with us.
**How You’ll Succeed**
+ Ensure all daily risk related functions are completed timely and accurately, this includes Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
+ Recommend new processes and/or efficiencies to current processes to minimize AML and Fraud concerns.
+ Support CSC team members and liaise with internal partners.
+ Execute and follow-up on findings arising from errors within the Quality Assurance and Control processes.
+ Identify and address recommendations to the CSC to manage identified risks.
**Who You Are**
+ **You can demonstrate experience in** CIBC principles, policies, and procedures to ensure timeliness and accuracy of processes under review. Working knowledge of potential risks including AML and Fraud, and first line processes and procedures to effectively identify issues in the quality of the processes and/or controls. Risk, AML and/or Fraud experience from a first line perspective is preferred.

**Desired Experience**
+ 5+ years of Banking experience required.
+ Risk, AML or Fraud experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated high levels of detail and accuracy.
+ Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
+ Ability to effectively relay information to partners in the CSC.

This role has an expected salary range of_ _$65,000 - $75,000_ _for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to_ _participate_ _in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus_ _component_ _.
