Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking an entry level Business Data Analyst with a background in Power BI, SQL and Python to join our team in a remote capacity! The Analyst will be working as part of a SAFe Agile team supporting our internal R&D Development Team. The Business Data Analyst should be able to work and provide reasonable documentation as needed while working in highly technical teams, including developers, architects, subject matter experts, analysts, and product owners. Understanding the inner workings of the applications will be essential.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:Work on multiple and diverse projects across the Risk and Data services team, delivering technical specifications and working together with other teamsHelp administer the Power BI deployment, workspaces, applications, and permissionsAssist with the preparation of detailed specifications and will be responsible for the technical design, development, documentation, testing, implementation and support of various data modelsWorking with ERP systems to create financial reports in Power BIAbility to deliver clear recommendations from data
Basic Qualifications:1-2 years of professional experience1+ years experience with the Microsoft Power BIBachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related disciplineProficient in making DAX queries in Power BI and using advanced calculationsExperience with SQL and databases & ability to understand complex joins and time segment dataKnowledge of ETL/ELT techniques and methodologies along with best practicesExceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workAbility to work in Agile model, updating the Epic with the details and supporting the team in story breakdownPreferred Qualifications:Previous exposure to cloud-based data analytics platforms, such as AWS or SnowflakeExperience in Finance analytics, enabling you to deliver actionable insights to drive revenue growth and optimize business strategiesThe compensation range for this position: $28.85 - $33.65 an hour.
