Eurofins Maritime Services is a Business Unit within Eurofins that focuses on the global maritime sector. Our customers are internationally operating maritime consultants, ship managers, marine equipment suppliers, cruise + ferry companies and individual ship owners. We have a unique service portfolio consisting mainly of our global water testing capabilities complemented by our long-standing knowledge and experience in the field of “Hazardous Materials”. Eurofins Maritime Services is currently growing strongly, within the next 3 years we aim to more than double in size.

Job Description

As Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities in the field of Asbestos & IHM (Surveys + Maintenance) within the maritime sector. You play a key role in selling our laboratory services and expanding the market share of Eurofins Maritime Services on a global scale.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Identifying and approaching new customers within the Maritime Asbestos & IHM markets.Building and maintaining long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.Developing commercial strategies and sales plans to realize growth opportunities.Advising customers on laboratory tests and solutions that meet their specific needs.Presenting commercial proposals, negotiating contracts and closing deals.Monitoring market trends, competition and customer needs to further optimize our services.Maintaining sales reports and providing input for business strategy.

We receive many inquiries about our (especially water) services, and your challenge is to turn this into an order. You liaise with Eurofins laboratories around the world. You determine the price, the logistics and arrange everything for this assignment once you have the customer's approval. In short, will you develop as a valuable content partner for our customers and colleagues?

QualificationsCompleted college education, preferably in commerce, chemistry or engineering.At least 2 years of relevant work experience in sales, preferably in the maritime sector and/or in the field of laboratory services of Asbestos & IHM.Experience in developing new business opportunities and closing deals at a strategic level.Knowledge of laboratory testing and analysis processes is a strong plus.Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English (multiple languages are a plus).Strong network within the maritime industry and willingness to expand this further.A result-oriented and proactive work attitude, with the ability to operate independently and achieve commercial objectives.Willingness to travel internationally and support customers worldwide.
