Primary Role

The Business Development Analyst provides project management, administrative and technical support to Business Development. The primary functions of this role include assisting in continued lead identification and pipeline growth, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and other administrative functions.

This role is responsible for reporting activity, developing a conference/events strategy and managing the end to end conference process. Additionally, this role is responsible for tracking lead and opportunity pipeline growth, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and other administrative functions. This function ensures alignment with key external stakeholders so that we may better leverage these relationships when needed to support our business interests.

Key Accountabilities Confers with internal stakeholders such as operations, communications, government affairs, engineering and management to ensure proper coordination on leads, opportunities, conferences and other Business Development activities Supporting and coordinating special projects including referendums, RFP/RFQ process, strategy updates, etc. Coordinates execution of procurement responses in collaboration with the Business Development team. Management of conference and events including identification of strategic attendance, planning/coordination of events and meetings. This includes pre and post conference outreach and preparation, and other marketing support. Manages Business Development pipeline tracking and identification efforts including regular reporting requirements. Accurately prepares and submits reports on a wide variety of items including BD pipeline, stakeholder lists, public notices, promotional inventory, etc. Manages databases and other reporting tools to compile, calculate, track, and report data pertaining to various processes. Develop business and marketing presentations, as needed. Performs various accounting tasks such vendor management and payments, check requests, invoice processing, establishing new vendors, verifying accuracy of figures and computations, balancing and reconciling budgets, and researching and responding to discrepancies. Handle special projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills Thorough knowledge of standard business practices and principles, including basic accounting and budgeting In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications including MSWord, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and email management systems Knowledge of SAP and Coupa preferred Knowledge of wastewater and/ or water industry preferred Demonstrated organization and administrative skills Demonstrated effective communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage Demonstrated interpersonal skills Effective problem solving and analytical ability Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements Experience/Education High school diploma or equivalency required. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience Prior corporate and/or multi-subsidiary experience desired. Minimum 3 years prior experience in utility, shared service, or multi-company enterprise a plus. Minimum of 5 years in supporting executive level employees preferred. Travel Requirements Local and occasional regional travel may be needed.
