Job Description

Position Summary

 

The Business Development Analyst will have two distinct responsibilities:

 

* Assist the Business Development Leader in developing and executing new initiatives. This includes analyzing VisaNet and market data to monitor and review overall performance, identifying under-penetrated business areas, and understanding the evolving market landscape and stakeholders.

* Support growth banks, merchants, and FinTech partners in driving Visa business. This involves implementing strategies and marketing efforts to increase overall business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve strategic partnerships with all key financial institutions (FIs) and non-financial institutions (Non-FIs) as well as key merchants.

 

The role holder will be working with various parties, including Visa licensed financial and non-financial institutions, key merchants, payment facilitators, digital wallet operators and payment gateway provider as well as internal stakeholder across various functions.

 

Responsibilities

Manage financial institutions (FIs), non-financial institutions (Non-FIs), and merchants to identify business opportunities by analyzing market demand, economic trends, and the evolving payment ecosystem. This includes conducting ad-hoc analyses for internal and external client requests based on business needs.Develop business cases and proposals, manage execution including contract management, verification, and validation of programs, and report on, monitor, and review performances against targets.Manage and deepen key relationships with merchants, issuers, acquirers, and third-party enablers (e.g., Payment Facilitators, Payment Gateways) to support client and Visa growth.Develop account plans, identify strategic opportunities, and leverage Visa's capabilities to address client challenges and goals, thereby increasing Visa penetration.Build and maintain a sales pipeline and track net revenue for all key clients under this role holders’ management.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in business management or banking/ finance
• Relevant client account management or business development experience, with minimum 5 years experience in driving merchant, Issuing, Acquiring, or payment solutions
• Knowledge of the Cambodia payments landscape, emerging players, business models, and trends is preferred
• Data literacy and ability to learn how to pull data from internal Visa systems to help tell a story
• Ability to manage and handle clients, include pitching and agreeing for the best outcome for both parties.
• Strong project management skills, including the implementation and monitoring
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, comfortable working independently and able to work collaboratively with a variety of team members including cross-geographies teams at all levels.
• Ability to work against tight timelines in a high intensity environment and also multi-tasking.
• Have strong analytical thinking, working with numbers, problem solving and persistence
• Strong excel and power point is required.
• High level of English language proficiency in formal business communication (verbal and written).
