What is the Opportunity?
Aecon is seeking a Business Development Analyst to join the Urban Transportations Solutions group to support dynamic, transit projects. We are proud to support projects that are committed to faster and more convenient travel, ultimately improving transportation experiences. This starts with bringing aboard the best possible team!
What You Will Do Here
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand industry trends. Review and develop a detailed understanding of client proposal/bid requirements. Track and ensure timely proposal/bid sections, resumes and project sheets in preparation for proposal/bid close-out. Track and ensure timely proposal/bid deliverables required from internal and external partners. Prepare regular reports on business development activities and outcomes. Prepare project specific presentations on a timely basis for internal approvals. Organize and schedule team meetings, prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes. Manage SharePoint or other document management systems. Attend pre-bid meetings and post—bid debrief meetings, summarizing results and lessons learned to report back to the project team. Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
What You Will Bring to The Team:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in business development or a related role, preferably in the Rail/LRT Industry. Ability to work in deadline-driven environment. High degree of organizational skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are an asset. SharePoint administration experience is an asset. Technical background with a discipline focus in civil, structural, related technical discipline or construction experience is an asset. Knowledge of Canadian Press style guide is an asset. Strong communication and writing skills. Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
