Location/Division Specific InformationThis opportunity is to remotely support the US Clinical Trials Division (CTD-NA) within the Pharma Services Group (PSG) of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Ideally, you will be remotely located and may be required to travel.
What will you do?
Research, identify, and qualify potential client companies that fit with the services of the business. Engage prospective clients with a targeted message about our services and how we can contribute to their projects.Gain the support of local Business Development Executives (BDEs) or Account Executives (AEs) and relevant subject matter experts (SMEs) to discuss possible project opportunities.Prepare the internal team with intel and company summaries ahead of prioritizing calls.Coordinate the establishment of Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) with new clients and the business.Work with BDEs or AEs to collect information to be able to submit requests for proposals (RFPs) within SalesForce.Use business intelligence platforms and other internal digital tools to improve the ability to find and advance new opportunities.Communicate information and new project requirements to enable evaluation and generation of product proposals.Maintaining accurate and current data in the client database for the assigned territory.Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or 3 years with an advanced degree.Experience in the life sciences industry, with preference for pharma/biotech industry including business development, commercial, or CDMO exposure.Strong prospecting skills and a curiosity for sales.A highly self-motivated individual.Experience with SalesForce or a similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform preferred.Valid driving license may be required depending on the location.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesDynamic and highly self-motivated individual.
Ability to establish and maintain a functional home office environment to optimally lead assigned responsibilities.
Ability to communicate information and new project requirements to enable evaluation and generation of product proposals by the BDE, Quotations groups, and relevant site functions.
Handles, updates, maintains, and records all relevant activities in the client database (Salesforce.com) for the assigned territory to ensure its data is accurate and current.
Salesforce familiarity desired.
