Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for marketing the J.B. Hunt brand to gain incremental business with current and prospective customers of a specialized area. This individual will be a subject matter expert and will use this expertise to develop and drive growth strategy through consistent Sales engagement, business reviews, and data insights. This role is responsible for maintaining internal partnerships with Sales, Pricing, Operations, and other support groups to effectively create sustainable solutions and execute business that exceeds customer expectations. This role requires consistent education and engagement with market trends, sharing relevant marketing resources, and vetting opportunities for optimal ROI. You will need to be comfortable with managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and KPIs, and holding others accountable. Limited travel will be required.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts lead generation activities for new and incremental business, including networking, data mining, and business reviews.

• Ensures that team members continue to grow their knowledge and skills related to LTL to increase both value to themselves, our customers and our corporation.

• Visits prospective and existing customers at their corporate headquarters or other sites as needed. Requires ability to travel to customer sites to meet customer needs.

• Performs various activities related to Opportunity Management and monitoring the health of the account which includes, but is not limited to, Customer KPI review, revenue quality monitoring, watching for additional opportunities, contract and pay terms review to ensure adherence to agreement.

• Coordinates with internal teams and the customer to implement the customer's solution, including participation in kick-off

• Meets with customers and prospective customers to discuss viable opportunities in an effort to understand their business needs, identify scope, submit a proposal, finalize the contract and win the business

• Develops compelling presentation material to be used for internal education, pricing proposals, and/or business reviews

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

5 or more years of transportation/logistics, relevant sales experience, or suitable combination of education, experience and training


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Communication, or related field with 3-4 years working in transportation/logistics, sales, or other relevant experience.

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
