Role Overview and ResponsibilitiesSummary: Business Development Director is the senior level outside sales position with responsibilities for new sales and new customer logo’s development. The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying prospective opportunities, developing new customer relationships, implementing the sales and marketing plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Comprehensive knowledge of all facets within TT Electronics plc Group.Ability to communicate and present TT Sales and Marketing overview.Create and lead the sales initiatives including shows and exhibits. Regularly meet with prospective new customers to identify strategic opportunities that align with new business growth objectives.Prepare and execute strategic penetration plans for his/her territory and/or assigned strategic market segments and assigned customer targets.Proven ability to identify cross- selling opportunities for all TT Electronic PLC Divisions.Responsible to ensure all new business opportunities meet the division financial requirements.Accountable for forecasting, planning and achieving new business objectivesSubject matter experts in assigned market segments.Understanding/Exposure to Fine Wire winding.Extensive understanding of key market differentiators and competitive landscape.Comprehensive knowledge of prospective customer’s end-market.Ability to align customer expectations with service offeringsLead reviews of new business plans with Executive Team.Completion of weekly and monthly reports and CRM data as required.Establish positive Customer relationships at all levels.Periodically represent supporting commercial and operational customer activities.Ensure all new customers engage in approved contracts. All agreements and contracts must be approved and signed by the VP/GM or designee.Leader of all RevenueStorm and Salesforce activities associated with the business.Responsible for generating and converting a strong pipeline of opportunities that will lead to sustainable, profitable growth. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field with a thorough knowledge of customer applications. Five plus years direct selling experience in electronic manufacturing or an equivalent field.
Excellent communication both written and verbal. Ability to read and analyze periodicals, business reports, correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of leaders, customers, Team Members and the general public.
