Responsibilities:
Responsible for achievement of revenue target and profit & loss of the business entity in the Philippines, for business development of Asset-based solutions (DCS, Utility-as-a-Service, Solar C&I, Renewables & Large-Scale Solar) and Asset-lite business (Facility Management and IoT), both organically or through ENGIE partnerships and joint-ventured entities in the Philippines.
Review, enhance and strengthen business development with strong accomplishment to secure and sustain Business Contracts KPIs, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Environment, Health & Safety objectives within the Ethics Charter of the Group HQ.
Ensure the appropriate follow-up of Key Accounts, existing and new, as well as tender bids, new business leads and/or pipeline partnership opportunities. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with our key stakeholders and partners including local authorities, developers, landowners, consultants, and wider colleagues from all areas.
Develop excellent proposals for complex projects with investments and present to local and regional commitment committee for approvals. Manage a robust pipeline of opportunities with well managed prioritization and relationship with key stakeholders. Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and experience in closing contracts and promptly co-ordinate internal resources to meet challenging customer deadlines.
Liaison with HQ Regional Management Office (RMO) based in Singapore or worldwide counterparts; both technical, legal, and commercial teams, to leverage support, collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practices.
Jointly participate with the General Manager in the Executive Committee led by regional CEO based in Singapore, responsible for monthly management meeting and reporting, including strategic business planning, financial, operation and maintenance, and business performance review.
Assist in the organizational general management and leadership:
-Cascade business vision, mission, direction, and management leadership to all the employees, contractors, and key stakeholders.
-Ensure the right level of people resources for contracts, and staffing with appropriate level of skills, knowledge, competencies, motivation, learning & development for growth to achieve shared goals.
-Review and align company policies & procedures with ENGIE HQ Singapore, APAC BU or Group HQ where applicable.
-Ensure compliance with local governing regulatory and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical) from an accredited university, Masters’ Degree in relevant fields would be added advantage.
Proven experience in similar capacities as a Business Development Director leading a high performing team with in-depth experience in stakeholder engagements, business development, company financial, and business operations (Finance, HR, Procurement, Legal, Project Management, Operations, etc)
Minimum 12 years’ experience in the field of key sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency, and district cooling plant and operations in South East Asia. Knowledge of energy, renewables, real estate, and facility management sectors would be advantageous.
Outstanding organizational leadership, corporate governance and operational management skills, creative manager who is always seeking for new opportunities and new ways of doing things, with ability to lead and inspire the team towards the successful achievement of shared goals.
Excellent strategic business planning, vision setting, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, outstanding track record of exceptional business development, partnership, market intelligence, pitching and negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
