Summary:  As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role serves as an innovative fundraising and sales leader who is responsible for new business development for all revenue streams in designated market area, strategic high-impact fundraising activities, corporate development, mission integration, and volunteer management. The Business Development & Partnership Director is responsible for multi-market collaboration to maximize fundraising opportunities. Relentlessly pursuing cancer cures. 

While employees may be permitted to work remotely, travel to the assigned office, HUB or Satellite Offices may be required as determined by the employee’s manager and the employee’s People Organization Generalist.

Duties and Responsibilities:   

Work in partnership with LLS national colleagues in Mission, Science, Constituent Engagement, Advancement, Donor Engagement and Campaign verticals to effectively communicate the LLS overall mission, programs, resources and priorities as well as collaborate to create 6+ figure corporate asks.  Corporate Business Development- Successful track record of identifying and securing 6+ figure corporate, multi-year partnerships within a highly matrixed organization. Ability to successfully drive a pipeline of existing and new prospects.  Responsible for Business Development corporate revenue, achievement of annual KPI’s and expectation to meet/exceed annual budget for assigned region area. Responsible for generating and managing a corporate portfolio of 80-100 new and existing upgradable prospects, while also driving new corporate partnerships.  Collaborate with LLS region staff and volunteers within designated region area. Accountable for the creation and oversight for the assigned region’s business development revenue, expense budget, timeline and sponsorship pipeline and moves management plans.  Collaborate with national staff in the Business Development department, Donor Engagement, Constituent Engagement and Territory Business Development Directors to identify and secure national partnerships. Revenue generated is in support of Mission, Brand, Consumer Initiatives and Regional/National Campaign Sponsorships  Partner with regional staff and high-impact volunteers to leverage corporate relationships and develop plans for engaging and securing new corporate partners also upgrading existing partners with the capacity for a 6+ figure partnership.  Collaborate with the Region Campaign Development Team to develop and close new business. Develop and write proposals for corporate foundations and corporations within the designated region area. Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote Organizational initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements:   

Bachelor’s degree Non-profit experience preferred 7-8 years of corporate business development or other related experience Proven track record of creating deep and robust corporate pipelines and successfully closing 6+ figure corporate partnerships
