Job Description

  

General Purpose/Objectives:

Teledyne e2v HiRel is looking for a Business Development Engineer to support new product business identification, release, and customer support for semiconductor devices to Aerospace and Defense Electronics customers and adjacent high reliability markets. This position provides a unique opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports critical defense and space programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify significant business opportunities for aerospace and defense semiconductors for Teledyne e2v HiRel to increase revenueCreate business and product development plans for standard IC products, do opportunity assessments, initiate product kick offs, and assist with program management until product releaseIdentify and lead product development for obsolesce solutionsDevelop product strategies, product positioning, and new product roadmapsSupport release new products to the high reliability marketWork with our top customers, sales and representative teams, and distributor partners. Interface with customers and field to understand market requirementsPricing strategy for IC productsOwn revenue forecast and work in close coordination with sales teams on gap closuresUnderstand competitive pricing and provide detailed competitive analysisKnowledge of end equipment and solutions for high reliability marketAbility to identify new product line opportunities and provide coordination with partners to implement new suppliers into Teledyne e2v HiRel value chainAbility to travel to customers and field offices worldwide to provide technical trainings and product/roadmap overviews, assist sales team, and obtain feedback on new product ideasProvide technical support to field and customers to solve application issues.Creation of marketing collateral, product roadmap definition, market communication material, white papers, application notes, and conference presentationsLong range product strategy and business growth

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BSEE.) or equivalent with some industry experience and background in semiconductor product marketingStrong communication and customer skillsMust be able to work independently with limited supervisionWorking knowledge of IC developmentFamiliarity with Military/DoD and Space programs, systems and processesExcellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to work with clients, team members, and management staff
