As a Business Development Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Building and maintaining strong knowledge of all SEL service solutions and teaching Customers, SEL Sales Team, and Channel Partners SEL service capabilities.Managing and developing relationships with Customers, SEL Sales Team, and Channel Partners.Proactively identifying and developing leads, cultivating new Customer relationships, and closing sales.

You have a B.S. in electrical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent professional experienceYou have 10+ years relevant application experience with electric power systems and industry practicesYou have good knowledge of electric power systems in one or more of the following areas: transmission and distribution, substations, industrial applications, and commercial applicationsYou are able to travel approximately 80% of the time to meet with customers and prospectsLocation
The preferred location for this position is our Provo, UT office. Depending on experience we may be open to this position being located in other SEL offices in our NW region.

Pay Range Data
Business Development Engineer $134,500-$168,100. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
