Based in Frankfurt or Paris, and reporting to the Manager New Business EMEA, Witali Engelhardt, the Business Development Engineer (f/m/d) will primarily be responsible for assisting FM Approvals to expand the availability of FM Approved products, which are locally available and serviced and accepted by local jurisdictions.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Develop and sell certification services for loss prevention technologies.Create and implement marketing strategies and business plans for new product categories and regions.Identify prospects through presentations, trade shows, and collaboration with industry associations.Increase awareness and demand for FM Approved products in target industries.Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, associations, standards committees, and manufacturers.Provide product-specific support for risk prevention engineering.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably civil, fire protection, mechanical, or electrical) or business/marketing with relevant technical experience.Combination of education and work experience considered.Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial building construction, fire protection, loss prevention risk engineering, or hazardous locations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (min. B2) and local language.Knowledge of loss prevention product certification standards is desirable.Experience in business development is an advantage.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (including facilitating and presenting).Local and international driver’s license.
