Business Development Executive
The Business Development Executive will execute sales strategies that cultivate customer relationships to position both hotels as market leaders, fostering future and repeat business\. You will be accountable for driving room nights, meetings and events as well as our dining venue\. **What will I be doing?** You will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to generate new future business for the hotel\. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: + Establish and develop contracted account base for a newly opened hotel, travelling within the local area to drive business into the hotels\. + Work closely with the above property sales team to exceed targets at hotel level and establish and nurture local relationships + Negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients\. + Meet and welcome top key accounts, group organisers and VIP guests upon check\-in\. + Prepare company contracts and respond to RFP’s for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions\. + Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs\. + Produce accurate and timely reports as required\. + Respond to customer queries in a prompt and professional manner\. + Lead effective efforts to coordinate strategies for group sales and to optimise conversion\. + Provide guidance for local marketing initiatives\. + Train team members and understand key selling strategies\. + Evaluate market demand by utilizing available reports, both internal and external, including market share, market conditions and competitive pricing\. + **Maintain effective working relationships with key clients and suppliers\.** **What are we looking for?** To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: + Positive attitude and good communication skills + Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service + Excellent grooming standards + Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations + Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative + Experience in a sales role with a proven track record to close a sale It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: + Preferably a minimum of 1\-2 years’ experience in the local market\. + Proven ability to achieve targets, through development of strong relationships and continuously sourcing new business opportunities\. + Goal\-oriented with obvious drive and self\-motivation\. + Excellent communication, rapport building and presentation skills\. + Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels\. + Ability to work under time and/or demanding travelling schedule + Excellent interpersonal skills and a full understanding of professional ethics, decorum and social skills required for extensive interaction with customers, investment owners and business partners\. **What will it be like to work for Hilton?** Hilton is the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full\-service hotels and resorts to extended\-stay suites and mid\-priced hotels\.
