Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive will execute sales strategies that cultivate customer relationships to position both hotels as market leaders, fostering future and repeat business. You will be accountable for driving room nights, meetings and events as well as our dining venue.

What will I be doing?

\n

You will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to generate new future business for the hotel. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nEstablish and develop contracted account base for a newly opened hotel, travelling within the local area to drive business into the hotels.\nWork closely with the above property sales team to exceed targets at hotel level and establish and nurture local relationships\nNegotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients.\nMeet and welcome top key accounts, group organisers and VIP guests upon check-in.\nPrepare company contracts and respond to RFP’s for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.\nCooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs.\nProduce accurate and timely reports as required.\nRespond to customer queries in a prompt and professional manner.\nLead effective efforts to coordinate strategies for group sales and to optimise conversion.\nProvide guidance for local marketing initiatives.\nTrain team members and understand key selling strategies. \nEvaluate market demand by utilizing available reports, both internal and external, including market share, market conditions and competitive pricing.\nMaintain effective working relationships with key clients and suppliers.\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nPreferably a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the local market.\nProven ability to achieve targets, through development of strong relationships and continuously sourcing new business opportunities.\nGoal-oriented with obvious drive and self-motivation.\nExcellent communication, rapport building and presentation skills.\nStrong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.\nAbility to work under time and/or demanding travelling schedule\nExcellent interpersonal skills and a full understanding of professional ethics, decorum and social skills required for extensive interaction with customers, investment owners and business partners.\n\n
