Summary

POSITION INFORMATION Position summary: The Business Development Liaison retains the primary responsibility for the growth of the Home Health service line at Southwest General. Duties included in this position provides data entry, report generation, and accountability for referrals to the Director. Responsibilities include: Partnering with Southwest General’s management team to meet admission targets. Assist in the verification of patient referral service authorizations. Attend staff meetings to identify further business development opportunities. Address client satisfaction issues. Conduct daily in-person visits and activities to meet/exceed the census goals. Prospect territory to expand referral base. Evaluate competition for opportunities to improve marketing programs. Cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources that include physicians and their staff, hospital discharge planners, and social workers. Maintain a current working knowledge of the Medicare regulations and guidelines. Understand and effectively communicate federal and state regulations that affect the home care patient. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma required. Business degree or Marketing degree is preferred.
Required length and type of experience: One (1) year of business development or marketing experience. Marketing experience in the medical field or medical sales is strongly preferred. Knowledge of health insurance is strongly preferred. Home health or hospital experience is strongly preferred. Proven track record of success in the growth of patient census, referral businesses, and as well as financial growth is strongly preferred.
