Our mission is to deliver results and solutions for a better tomorrow and our team works daily to make an impact in businesses and communities across the world. **About the Position:** An ideal candidate for the Business Development Manager position in DRS’ will have a proven track record in marketing and sales, with a focus in the insurance or disaster response sectors. The Managing Consultant will be responsible for building and developing strategic partnerships, generating business, selling projects, and successfully managing cross-selling opportunities. **Key Responsibilities:** + Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and revenue growth + Drive business development through prospect targeting, conferences, and speaking engagements + Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape + Collaborate with marketing team to create and execute effective marketing campaigns + Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients + Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners + Monitor and report on business development activities and results + Cultivate and manage relationships with project managers + Engage in performance management activities, including goal setting and feedback sessions **Qualifications:** + Minimum 10 years proven experience in business development, sales, or related role + A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in business, marketing, communications or related discipline; MBA a plus + Demonstrated knowledge of insurance, property claims, and FEMA a plus + Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends + Exceptional negotiation skills with complex/sophisticated situations involving executive and senior level stakeholders + High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a very fast paced environment + Ability to adapt to complex client environments and situations + Proven track record of effectively planning for and proactively mitigating risks on engagements + Expert written communication skills, self-directed with preparation of client ready document and presentation development + Articulate, persuasive, communicator who is adept at handling executive and difficult audiences well including ability to adapt style to audience + Ability to work independently and as part of a high-functioning team **Work Location:** This position a remote work experience with travel required for business development purposes. **Salary Transparency** : Disclosure required under applicable province or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 with a discretionary bonus and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
