The Business Development Manager is responsible for all Saint-Gobain ADFORS Facades – FibaLath sales activities.
This position involves new and incremental sales, and management and development for Saint-Gobain ADFORS Facades - FibaLath markets under the general direction of the National Sales Manager (Facades, Roofing, & Wall Finishing). The incumbent provides technical support, product to all customers and company personnel as needed. They participate in the formulation of marketing policies, budgeting, sales forecasting, goals and action plans, and their implementation.
In particular, the incumbent is focused front and center on establishing a sales & marketing strategy for the Facades - FibaLath market.
The incumbent requires limited direct supervision in this position and is capable of handling most sales or regional problems that occur in their area. They communicate regularly with the National Sales Manager (Facades, Roofing & Wall Finishing) in order to ensure a constant flow of information about happenings in the market. The incumbent uses an acquired mastery of planning to arrange a time schedule that will ensure the best return on investment. They demonstrate expertise in handling and following through on all complaints and in maintaining up-to-date records which will provide continuity. The ability to travel is a requisite for the role. They maintain a desirable call level on customers and other personnel and continues to maximize the total sales potential of major account.
The candidate should have a thorough working knowledge and experience that includes:
A proven track record of building, managing and closing opportunities focusing on selling products related to reinforcement of Facades. Identifying, pursuing, and closing new prospects. Conduct regular revenue and forecasting for developed accounts. Resolve customer issues and cultivate relationships. Prepare and present formal proposals. Executes preplanned and organized sales calls. Prepares a yearly business review with the National Sales Manager (Facades, Roofing, & Wall Finishing) for presentation to Director of Sales and/or National Sales Manager, Construction Products. Communicates to management the implementation, control, and performance of marketing plans and actions. Remains alert for competitive pricing, products and programs. Continues to update knowledge of products, applications and market conditions. Conducts price maintenance, contract and payment term compliance reviews.
