Business Development Manager, Oil and Gas

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Manager, Oil and Gas. You will lead Sales and Business Development efforts for the Oil/Gas/Petrochemical market at the end user level.

Primary Responsibilities:

Generates sales leads, develops sales opportunities, and leads the closure of new business. Obtain specification of WEG products on customer Approved Vendor Lists. Coordinate with WEG Area Managers, Territory Account Managers, and Automation Sales Engineers to gain new business. Develop and manage LV Motors, MV Motors, and Automation pipeline opportunities and work with non-direct reports to close business. Coordinate with application engineers and service personnel to define custom product solutions and services needed, to support converted business. Travel > 50%

Education: (minimum education or equivalent in relevant experience)

Bachelor’s Degree in in business or a related field from a 4-year college or university is preferred.

Knowledge

Strong knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and employment laws. Deep knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage Motors, VFD and Softstart products and applications. •Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs, as well as knowledge of internal infrastructure and processes. •Strong understanding of industry trends, market forces, and customer expectations. •Strong knowledge of the most current technologies and products used in the industry. •Knowledge of competitor products and go to market strategies. •Market research tools. •Sales strategies. •Microsoft Office.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required.
