Business Development Manager (31203)

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing relationships in the corporate market, and supporting the Group's sales and marketing strategy through proactive business development and selling activities.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Generate leads and new business through cold calling. Work closely with the General Manager/Sales Director to develop sales strategies, sales plans, and sales objectives. Execute and achieve established sales goals that align with the sales strategies. Understand, anticipate, and analyze retail logistics market trends and competitor activities. Prepare and deliver sales materials, proposals, presentations, tenders, bids, RFQs, and RFPs. Follow up and participate in sales events, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and/or networking functions. Establish and maintain a professional, working, and consultative relationship with existing, potential, and target clients.

 

Professional Skills & Qualifications

 

University degree or equivalent in Business or a related discipline. At least 5+ years of related working experience, preferably in a logistics environment. Digital Marketing, Communications, Global Business Studies, or Environmental Sustainability and Management Skills required or willingness to obtain as appropriate. Proven track record of developing prospects and securing new clients. Experienced in the preparation of tenders, bids, RFQs, and RFPs. Fluent in spoken and written English, Chinese, and Mandarin. Good communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical mind and good with numbers. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure. Proficient in MS Office and databases. Immediate availability is highly preferred.
