This position is within the Threat Reduction & Remediation (TR&R) Sector. TR&R provides solutions and services to predict, prevent, counter, and mitigate existing and emerging threats and vulnerabilities to protect people, assets, and resources; remediate the environment; enable attribution and enhance pre-event resilience. The landscape for our customers is rapidly changing and more competitive than ever before. Geopolitical shifts, policy changes, newly emerging biological threats, market consolidations, and regulatory changes create both opportunities and threats. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced senior program director, with a proven track record of managing large, complex international projects and proposals, to support the execution, expansion, and growth of our threat reduction portfolio. This role requires a robust understanding of and experience with Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) organizations, leadership, mission and programs.
This position is hybrid/virtual with an expectation that most customers will be in Washington DC area. There is a requirement for travel, up to 50%, to meet with key customers and partners and attend industry events when required.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support operational management of roughly $50M in annual revenue across the threat reduction portfolio that is expected to grow larger over the next few yearsContribute to the development, monitoring, and delivery of annual financial metricsAnalyze and optimize staffing and resources for both existing and proposed workParticipate in internal and external project reviews to ensure we are delivering on our promises to our customersLead operational input to the creation and dissemination of high-quality marketing materials and solutioning for winning proposalsKeep abreast of national/international political and economic conditions as these could affect the strategies and market development efforts.Collaborate with Business Development to implement a go-to-market strategy for new clients and perform capture activities to grow programSupport negotiation of teaming arrangements and workshare and subcontractsUnderstand our competitors’ capabilities and devise plans to position the company to be successful in pursuits aligned with our capabilitiesWork collaboratively across the entire company to identify existing capabilities that can support new market development efforts. Develop professional relationships with members of legacy activities and help the staff transition existing capabilities to new capabilities.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field15+ years of program experience in the threat reduction market, with specific recent experience and knowledge of international CWMD, nonproliferation, bio surveillance, biosecurity, capacity building, CWMD training and exercises, biological preparedness and response, and sustainable technology development and implementation.Must currently possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, Top Secret clearance preferred.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Familiarity with global threat reduction regulations, guidance and best practices, USG market areas and synergies across agencies, and experience in countering threat programs (proliferation prevention, biothreat reduction, nuclear security, chemical security, CWMD, assessments and exercises, building partner capacity, mission assurance, R&D)Proven track record of delivering technical services in support of DOD/DTRA, DoS, and other related federal programs.Familiarity with global threat reduction regulations, guidance and best practices, such as add PPP/AEMSS relevant items, World Health Organization laboratory manuals, and International Health RegulationsUnderstanding of current trends and differentiated solutions and technologies in the threat reduction marketAbility to foster collaboration, engagement, and trust across multiple partners and stakeholdersExperience mentoring and developing junior staffStrong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.Salesforce CRM and Deltek Costpoint experience preferredMinimum Clearance Required to Start:
