Business Development Manager

About the Role

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of regionally focused sales strategies that result in short and long-term value for the company. The position requires direct support of business development initiatives, direct responsibility for identifying and strategically assessing opportunities in the private and public sectors and designing and executing plans to maximize sales and drive company growth and profitability. Assist in preparing proposal collateral that directly address the client’s needs, offering added value and cost-effective solutions.

What You'll Do

          Utilizing industry standard subscription services (i.e. GovWin, FedBizOps, BidSync, Enviobidnet). Conduct daily searches using these services to identify bidding opportunities           Candidate is to utilize the candidate’s current network to meet with companies (large and small) to generate bidding opportunities to provide environmental/remediation construction field     services           Attend local SAME, PEMA, and other conferences/symposiums to keep current with upcoming contract opportunities           Attend business development meetings with potential clients           Experience in BD in the federal, state, local and non-federal BD markets

What You Bring

          Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.           10 years of experience in business development in environmental remediation and construction industry.           Knowledge of MS Word and Office Suite Products.           Proven and established relationships with leading environmental firms operating in Southern California.           May be required to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and attend networking events.
