As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing sales strategies to align with corporate and business unit objectives and will be based in Houston, TX.

You will be accountable for improving the company’s market position, driving customer satisfaction, and achieving financial goals. Your responsibilities: Accountable for achieving sales targets within the US region by growing share through the sale of all service offeringsPossess understanding of key clients, market sectors as well as competition and understand value add Kent bring and how to promote and sellFocus on securing work with new clients as well as penetration and retention of existing customersDevelop sales strategy and account plan to penetrate and grow accounts while maintaining Kent KPI in relation to EBIT and cashflowResearch existing accounts, identifying opportunities for expanding product offerings and ensuring accounts are managed according to Kent’s business objectivesCoordinate internally on both proposal development, conducting presentations, negotiating pricing, and presenting the contract to close the saleTrack execution of order and ensure the customer is extremely satisfied by experienceMeet sales quotas and other key sales objectives as established by the executive management teamBring network of working relationships from Oil & Gas Owners in the Gulf CoastPromote a customer-oriented focus and advocate consultative customer relationships Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Qualification/ Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, MBA desiredAt least 10 years’ experience in business development of engineering professional services and/or industry work experience in a technical positionProven track record of success with key clients and experience establishing new clients through cold calling, research, and networking Skills Requirement:Strong negotiating and deal closing skills and proven ability to maintain strong business relationshipsPersistent and results focusedRelationship oriented and capable of networkingProficient in Salesforce and PowerPoint as well as understanding basic commercial elements of the bid processSelf-starter and capable of working on own as well as part of a bigger teamAbility to travel and work outside normal working hoursCommunication:Excellent verbal, written communication skills and excellent listening skills required
