Amazon Global Selling is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Amazon Global Selling Korea, based in Seoul.
This role involves developing scalable recruitment programs targeting Korean manufacturers, brands and individual Sellers who are actively engaged in export e-commerce (Cross Border E-Commerce) to introduce local products and selections on Amazon.com through various approaches. The position requires collaboration with external entities such as government agencies, industry associations, service providers, manufacturers and seller communities to drive growth across Amazon's 20+ marketplaces worldwide.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, capable of engaging with diverse contacts to effectively communicate Amazon's Global Selling value proposition, and will work closely with Amazon's cross-regional teams, program and category managers, and other internal stakeholders. The goal is to expand Amazon Global Selling's outreach, introduce unique selections across Amazon platforms, and leverage the Service Provider Network and Government Officials to enhance the overall seller experience. This includes providing training/seminar for export processes and basic knowledge and securing initial subsidy support to lower entry barriers for new Sellers if they are capable.
Amazon Global Selling enables businesses in Korea to reach Amazon's global customer base and build international brands, including access to over 300 million active users and 150+ million Prime members, thereby helping sellers establish and grow their presence on the global stage.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and Implement Recruitment Programs: Design and execute scalable recruitment programs targeting Korean manufacturers, brands, and individual sellers involved in export e-commerce (Cross Border E-Commerce) to introduce their products on Amazon's global marketplaces.
2. Collaborate with External Entities: Work closely with government agencies, industry associations, service providers, manufacturers, and seller communities to drive growth across Amazon's 20+ marketplaces worldwide.
3. Engage with Diverse Stakeholders: Effectively communicate Amazon's Global Selling value proposition to a variety of contacts, including external partners and potential sellers.
4. Coordinate with Internal Teams: Collaborate with Amazon's cross-regional teams, program and category managers, and other internal stakeholders to align strategies and ensure successful program implementation.
5. Enhance Seller Experience: Leverage the Service Provider Network and build relationships with Government Officials to improve the overall seller experience by providing training and seminars on export processes and securing initial subsidy support to lower entry barriers for qualified new sellers.
6. Expand Global Outreach: Contribute to the expansion of Amazon Global Selling's outreach by introducing unique Korean selections across Amazon's platforms and supporting sellers in building international brands.
7. Monitor and Report Progress: Track the progress of recruitment and engagement initiatives, providing regular updates and insights to ensure alignment with business goals and continuous improvement of strategies.
