GKM Consultants, a Canadian Keller company with proven experience in geotechnical and structural instrumentation projects, as well as in vibration and noise control and monitoring, is recognized in Canada and internationally for its expertise. We provide customized and innovative monitoring solutions and have all the resources required to complete the various phases of instrument installation and commissioning throughout construction. We are seeking an energetic person for the role of Business Development Manager to be based at our Montreal, Québec office. This will be a hybrid role, working both in the office and at home.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will undertake the following:
Assist with GKM sales and revenue-generating functions in the defined geographic areaAssist in developing the annual business development and marketing strategiesWork with area managers, regional engineers, and business development managers to create and advance technical presentationsAssist with preparing specialty geotechnical proposals and supporting pre-qualification documentationTravel to regional locations to support promotional activities, attend local organizational meeting and trade shows, and provide operational support, as neededAssist with marketing and sales strategies with assistance from Keller business development managers to achieve targeted area revenue goalsQualifications
The successful candidate will have the following experience, education, and key characteristics:
A Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, Mining, Geomatics or Geophysics5 years Business Development experience in Geotechnical construction a plusRegistered Professional Engineer in Ontario or elsewhere in Canada a plusAbility to blend technical problem-solving skills with practical business intuitionWillingness to travel regionally to promote sales and develop client-customer relationshipsWork well in a team environment but excel as a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal direction and guidelinesComfortable interacting in a geotechnical engineering environment within the construction community (including engineers, architects, contractors, and owners)Creativity in demonstrating GKM Keller’s unique value in geotechnical construction solutions to contractors and engineersDemonstrated records of accomplishments creating and managing business opportunities to effectively implement winning engineering strategiesAbility to quickly evaluate both technical and commercial viability of opportunities to provide value to project teamsStrong prioritization skills and self-motivation with a strong sense of urgencyExcellent presentation and communication skillsWillingness to make internal and external client presentationsWillingness to develop entry level/junior marketing staffStrong project management skillsProficiency with estimationResearch and Strategy mindedNegotiation and persuasion skillsKnowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

Additional InformationSalary Range: CAD $110,000 - $130,000 per year
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
