The Nightwing Requirements & Capabilities Team is seeking an experienced team member with a demonstrated track record and superb stakeholder skills to fill a key Business Development Manager (BDM) position. The BDM needs to possess experience working throughout the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Communities and the ability to effectively leverage both customer and industry partner relationships across the community.

This role will assess applicable markets, develop new customer relationships, identify and qualify opportunities, and generate new business revenue across a broadly focused interagency account.

An effective candidate will support all elements of the pursuit and capture life cycle of new business opportunities to include but not limited to the following: opportunity investigation, identification, and validation; customer intelligence gathering; price-to-win and probability-of-win analysis; new business investment funds ownership; presentation material creation; and customer and industry business partner meetings attendance. A competitive candidate will be able to effectively navigate and operate within the customer space and applicable professional networks.

The ideal candidate will be a purposeful self-starter capable of effectively working across customer agencies and acquisition offices while pursuing multiple Nightwing business opportunities simultaneously. This role will collaborate across functional disciplines and contribute material for business development (BD) status briefings and reports. Influential and effective written and verbal communication will be required. This BDM candidate will directly support the Account Executive as part of a larger, integrated Account Team in defining and meeting organizational growth targets and forecasted Annual Operating Plan revenue goals.

Academic/Experience Requirements:

An undergraduate degree and minimum 12 years military and/or industry experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 10 years military and/or industry experience.

Previously part of a leading Fortune 100 company and headquartered in Dulles, VA; Nightwing became independent in 2024 but continues to support the nation’s most mission impactful initiatives.

The salary range for this role is 188,000 USD - 378,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
