Position Summary Vietnam is experiencing significant growth in its electronics manufacturing service and contract manufacturing sectors, making it a strategic market for expansion. The role of Business Development Manager - Vietnam will be responsible for new business acquisition and delivering profitable growth and maintaining margin for Energizer in Vietnam. This position combines the responsibilities of new business acquisition (70%) and account management (30%) for Energizer’s existing OEM and Hearing Aid Battery customers, with a focus on to establish Energizer brand in Vietnam’s manufacturing sector and drive growth especially in OEM sales. A major responsibility will be to aggressively prospect for new business to build a strong pipeline for sustained growth and the business development manager must have a high sense of urgency and a relentless focus on winning in both the short-term and the long-term. The role will involve identification of specific business opportunities and mapping out detailed business plans for each targeted new market segments, followed by the execution of action plans to penetrate and increase market share in these segments. To capitalize on changes in technology and corresponding battery requirements both in consumer and industrial products, the business development manager must be kept abreast of the latest trends and insights within the markets. This will be achieved by frequent visits to the market to meet customers and attend trade shows/conferences externally and working with the sales support team, leveraging on the CRM system and market/product research internally. The position will work cross functionally with internal teams to achieve stated business objectives. He/She also works with his/her commercial colleagues in the Global Professional team leveraging their support and providing specific local support to Global accounts in Vietnam, ensuring they are serviced with excellence and in line with Global contracts. Responsibilities Hunter role to source and convert new business opportunities in Vietnam Execute annual business plans for existing business that efficiently achieves customer & Energizer goals/objectives Meet/exceed quarterly and annual sales goals & revenue for their assigned region with a strong understanding of market conditions and sales opportunities. Communicate regularly with all team members, both internal (EHI) and external (customer) New Business Development (70%): Aggressively prospect for new business to build a strong pipeline for sustained growth. Identify specific business opportunities and develop detailed business plans for targeted new market segments. Execute action plans to penetrate and increase market share in these segments. Stay abreast of the latest trends and insights within the markets through frequent visits, customer meetings, and trade show attendance. Source for new business opportunities in Vietnam, leveraging a high sense of urgency and relentless focus on winning. Key Account Management (30%): Manage existing customer portfolios to maximize sales opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships. Support global account growth in Vietnam by partnering within the Global Account team. Develop accurate sales forecasts and ensure effective communication with Customer Service, Supply/Demand Planning, and Brand teams. Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers from existing distributors and customers. Monitor competition in the market and develop strategies to minimize risk. May also perform additional duties as assigned. What we are looking for Experience: University degree or equivalent in commercial related subject Min 5 – 7 years of business development and/or sales experience; Expertise in industrial sales to EMS, Contract manufacturers or experience in the battery industry (optional) Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business/account plans Used to working in a multi-national, complex and matrix environment Experience of cross-functional team participation Native Vietnamese speaker Fluent in English (Spoken and Written) Technical skills: Negotiation skills with key accounts and distributors Commercial delivery through superior direct selling experience - Preference will be given to candidate with technical knowledge of batteries/ technical selling Creativity in problem solving Financial acumen Analytical skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Come join us!
