TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager role to work for an amazing EPCM client in Toronto, ON. This position comes with a great opportunity to work on medium to large sized projects.
Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the mining industry. Strengthen internal collaboration to enhance the sales team’s effectiveness. Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs. Negotiate and secure prime contracts to meet sales goals. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key industry leaders and stakeholders. Lead the development and presentation of persuasive commercial proposals. Update and execute Bid/No-Bid strategies with appropriate risk management. Create compelling value propositions and negotiation strategies, with a solid grasp of commercial and legal considerations. Achieve new business targets while maintaining selectivity, profitability, and cost efficiency. Design and implement strategic sales plans to boost revenue and market share.
Qualifications: Have a minimum of five years of experience in the natural resource sector. Have at least five years of business development experience in the mining sector within Canada, with a strong preference for experience in Ontario. Communicate effectively with various audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. Possess the technical knowledge necessary to perform job-related tasks. Learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, provincial, and federal statutes and guidelines. Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner. Experience with Owner or EPC roles is highly desirable, though not mandatory. Proposal experience is highly preferred, but the biggest factor is having established relationships within the mining sector.
