Do you have a talent for identifying opportunities, engaging key decision-makers, and delivering tailored solutions that drive business growth?

Based in Victoria (Derrimut or Dandenong South) under a Hybrid working arrangement, forming part of a supportive, values-driven team and reporting directly to the Manager, Channel Development, your role as Business Development Manager will be to grow the Produce Channel (Fruit & Veg) platform revenue with new customers and via new platforms as well as new channels (supply chains) with existing customers.

Your Role:

Find & Win New Business

Identify, engage, and convert new customers and supply chain partners in the Fresh Produce industry.Utilize cold calling, networking, and industry events to drive new business leads.Build trusted relationships with growers, distributors, and retailers.

Strategic Sales & Market Expansion

Develop tailored solutions for Customers with CHEP’s reusable bins and crates.Conduct supply chain analysis to highlight efficiency, waste reduction, and quality improvements.Research and explore new channels, supply chains, and emerging markets.

Pipeline & Opportunity Management

Track and manage all leads, opportunities, and sales activities using Salesforce CRM.Conduct monthly pipeline reviews, ensuring accurate forecasting and funnel movement.Leverage internal sales leads from marketing campaigns and retailer partnerships.

Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights

Monitor competitor activity, including pricing, product offerings, and customer strategies.Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen CHEP’s market positioning.

What makes you the Best Fit:

Proven experience in B2B Sales (Business Development) – preferably in Fresh Produce, FMCG or Supply Chain / Industrial sectorsSales & Negotiation Skills – able to influence decision-makers, create win-win solutions and close high-value deals.Market Research & Business Development – Identifying new business opportunities and assessing potential markets.Commercial Acumen – understanding how businesses operate and how financial decisions impact profitability.Stakeholder Management – build relationships with senior decision makers & collaborate with various internal teams (Finance, Sales, Operations) to achieve the best outcomes.Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking – finding innovative ways to help customers improve their Supply Chain.Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM tools – Salesforce preferred
