About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing total revenue potential for Park Hyatt Melbourne with a focus on the acquisition of new business and also the retention and development of existing business in line with personal business goals. Demonstrating a proactive approach to sales, encouraging effective inter-departmental team work while being an internal role model for Hyatt selling techniques and Park Hyatt customer service is crucial to the role.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Achieve established monthly personal plan targets set in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing Maintain existing relationships with partners and develop a robust prospecting plan with a strong emphasis on face to face client engagement to expand the customer base.Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to review hotel sales targets and pricing strategies for all key accounts Assist sales colleagues where required with account management and demonstrating Hyatt’s selling techniques Plan and undertake entertainment of potentially productive accounts Ensure all reports and correspondence are completed accurately and punctually Actively pursue marketing intelligence and potential business opportunities
