Business Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic **Business Development Manager** to drive growth within the **Aerospace & Energy** sectors, with a particular focus on key accounts in Florida. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, managing key accounts, while fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background with sales experience and a passion for expanding business opportunities. **Responsibilities** + Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the Aerospace & Energy sectors. + Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive sales and revenue growth. + Utilize technical expertise to consult with clients, understand their needs, and propose tailored testing and calibration solutions. + Lead sales efforts from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring alignment with company objectives. + Re-engage dormant accounts while growing business with existing clients by offering value-driven solutions. + Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities. + Conduct persuasive sales presentations and technical discussions with clients to showcase our capabilities and services. + Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery. + Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and activity tracking within CRM systems. + Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional organizations to enhance market visibility. + Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and industry standards. **Skills / Qualifications** + Bachelor of Science in Material Sciences or related engineering field or business + 10+ years of technical experience with sales responsibilities. + Engineering background in electrical, mechanical, or materials science disciplines strongly preferred. + Proven track record in business development, sales strategy execution, and account management. + Experience in testing, metallurgy, or composites is a plus. + Ability to interpret testing procedures and requirements to effectively communicate solutions to clients. + Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics AX, CRM, Word, Excel). + Strong problem-solving skills, negotiation abilities, and business acumen. + Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight travel. **Company Overview** Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
