GENERAL SUMMARY The Agency Marketing Group is a specialized unit within Team One that leads marketing communications and growth operations for Team One. The Growth Team is the engine that helps grow Team One’s client list, reputation, culture, and bottom line. It's a high-functioning, quick-thinking, tight-knit group of doers who move at the breakneck speed of new business to set Team One apart from the pack, spread our unique story and POV, and win new business. Based in Los Angeles, The Business Development Manager is a strong right-hand to the Managing Director of Growth, and works in close collaboration with all agency departments and offices. We ask that you have a proven ability to effectively execute your day-to-day workstreams while managing and leading external and internal cross-department teams. This role will require a thorough understanding of Team One capabilities, teams, tools, and offerings, and have a writing and storytelling ability to help apply those resources to winning opportunities. Self-starters, active listeners, people who are naturally curious and eager to learn, are comfortable working in grey space, and those who are willing to travel are successful in this role. Day to Day: **Key Responsibilities:** Coordinate and ensure the highest standard of preparation and delivery of pitch materials and presentations by leading operations among the day-to-day pitch teams across departments Handle the operational intricacies and fast-moving nature of the pitch process including setting up timelines, tracking the budget, communicating information to the team, managing the workflow, and integrating opportunities for pitch flair. Prepare and present pitch briefings, including client immersions, summaries of client business and products or services, market snapshots, competitive summaries and key client personnel information Manage business development resource tools and partnerships, including Salesforce, Winmo, Kantar, and management of Team One Brand Library for greater agency use Thoughtful contribution and ownership of the crafting of Team One case studies and credentials, including implementation of process for new case studies for future work Ownership of Team One website and social media content deployment, and proactively gathering information and materials from agency teams and generating a content calendar with due dates and live dates Coordinate with presentation designers to ensure the proper look and feel is developed for the materials associated with each pitch. Drive the coordination and drafting of RFP and RFI responses Support Management Director of Growth in fielding inbound new business opportunities (and help cultivate more legitimate inbound inquiries) Support Management Director of Growth in identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients and consultants Manage department budget Scope and track pitch budget for integrated team Be the Team One expert on the changing advertising agency landscape, identifying our agency competitors’ points of difference (and their weaknesses) and being up to speed on recent client shifts Ownership and organization of all agency resources, including agency headshots, visual asset library, case studies, credential versioning, agency videos, and award submissions. + Experience:5+ years of professional experience (preferably some or all agency).Education:A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Skills and Abilities:This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and polished communication style. Attention to detail and a high bar for quality is a must. Understand the industry and has the ability to see areas of opportunity. Collaborative working style, but with a presence of leadership to command a room and gain the trust of a team. Must be comfortable simply picking up the phone to call a colleague, prospect, etc. to build relationships and execute with efficiency.
