Honeywell Advanced Materials business has been increasing its footprint in pharma, life sciences through sustainable, high purity materials and high-performance packaging. To continue to build our position in healthcare and life sciences, we have an exciting opening for a Business Market Development Manager - Medical Propellants. Providing management to a cross-functional team of matrix employees, the Market Development Manager (MDM) will be directly responsible for driving market growth for medical-grade inhaled products through opportunity exploration, management of strategic customer relationships, development and execution of marketing strategy, and long-term pipeline planning to drive sustainable, profitable growth. This role will develop marketplace opportunities in the vertical, lead sales and marketing pursuits, support internal processes, and form strategic relationships with key pharma industry players. The MDM will be instrumental in building pharma industry competencies to the cross-functional teams. This position will report to the Global GM of Medical Propellants and will actively contribute to overall strategic planning for Inhaled Products and leverage Foam and Industrial Products (FIP) assets across all businesses and manage Honeywell's overall market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and generate pipeline of new markets beyond metered dose inhaler applications, expand the medical propellant portfolio to strategically drive long-term business growthOwn comprehensive market research analyses planning and management to establish understanding of the full Medical Propellants market, including market size, competitive market share, forecasted volumes and customer sentimentBecome a key source of knowledge of the medical propellants landscape through continuous market research including voice of the customer campaigning and market analysisDrive Honeywell pharma/healthcare presence in the industry, establish collaborations with industry and research organizations including CMOs, CDMOs, research facilities and universitiesDevelop and execute an annual product marketing strategy, identifying opportunities to collaborate on research with the Product Stewardship and R&D teams, customers and academic institutionsCollaborate with marketing team to develop and execute a comprehensive market awareness strategy of our product within the medical space and expand awareness into other avenues beyond metered dose inhaler applicationsLead market launch strategy and messaging workshops to update and realign product messaging to what resonates with our customers’ needs and key regulatory eventsDrive product leadership positioning in the respiratory space through collaborative customer press releases, case studies, and joint customer conference eventsEstablish and present plans for continued engagement and long-term portfolio growthManage marketing team to execute key conferences and maintain brand presence and customer engagementSupport Business Development team through managing strategic customer relationshipsSearch and Evaluation of pipeline products, request for due diligence proposals, venture seeking and analysis of potential mergers/acquisition and product forecastingCompensation: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $146,000 – 189,000. In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
YOU MUST HAVE
· Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, marketing and/or business development
· Minimum 3 years of experience in pharma, biotech, and/or medical devices
· Ability to travel internationally 15% of the year

· Knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical industry
· High-level understanding of regulatory and clinical development within pharma environment as it pertains to pharma brand strategy and growth/development
· Commercial experience in inhaled applications/medical devices, asthma, and/or COPD
· Experience in intellectual property and contract/NDA negotiations
· Customer-driven with an understanding of value-selling and strategic relationship management
· Excellent communication skills
· A naturally curious growth mindset
· Demonstrated analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
· Ability to bring new ideas and creativity into how we operate in a competitive market environment
· MBA, advanced business or clinical degree preferred
