Business Development Manager - F&B | French Speaker
Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to manage our operations in French-speaking countries in West and Central Africa. The successful candidate will report to the F&B Export Field Sales Manager and play a crucial role in driving growth and building relationships within the region.
 

Key Responsibilities

Distributor Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors.Work on annual turnover, sales forecasts, inventory planning, and new product penetration.

Customer Acquisition:

Identify and penetrate new customer markets across West and Central Africa to achieve ambitious growth targetsCreate and implement strategic work plans for sales and service calls to new and existing customers.Communicate effectively with customers and distributor stakeholders at all levels to build strong business relationships.Address and resolve customer complaints and account issues promptly.

Product Knowledge:

Build a comprehensive understanding of Ecolab products, plant operations, customer business objectives, and relevant government regulations.Manage Ecolab products and equipment, participate in installations, monitor performance, and track chemical consumption.

Value Delivery:

Implement and report on the Total Value Delivered (TVD) to existing Ecolab customers.

Sales Presentations:

Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations highlighting Ecolab's innovative products, equipment, and services.

Team Collaboration:

Conduct regular meetings to update the F&B Export Field Sales Manager and foster teamwork.Actively assist distributor field teams, providing technical support and encouraging lead identification and submission.

Field Assessment:

Periodically accompany and assess field staff to ensure objectives are met and identify training needs.

Travel Requirements:

Travel to various countries within West and Central Africa is necessary, accounting for a minimum of 60% of total working hours.QualificationsStrong proficiency in both French and English.Previous BDM or manager experience in sales, preferably in the F&B sector or related field.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
