And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come. **About the role** + Our Business Development team is integrated in the Research and Business development department and focuses on development and qualification of advanced materials in collaboration with R&I and Sales team. + As a Business development Manager Japan, you will work on developing new business opportunities, gathering business information and developing tactical plans. You will get the opportunity to contribute to execute and implement defined strategy and have a positive impact on growth and added value for the company. + You will be accountable for: + Proposing, promoting and accompanying internally and with customers, the development of Solvay product from the idea to the customer validation at industrial scale + Identifying new business opportunities and follow up + Acting as a project manager for the validation of new material at customers according to Global market manager strategy. This includes strong collaboration with the team of innovation, development, industrial, sales + Leading promotion of new technologies to customers and with local authorities + Supporting the global market managers in the Special Chem technology roadmap, strategy and budgets, providing insights from local market understanding + We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid and travel working mode. **About you** + Relevant education degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Engineering or PhD in Catalysis or inorganic chemistry + Relevant work experience in R&I or Development in Catalysis Inorganic Chemistry. + Competencies: + Expertise in Catalysis, inorganic Mixed Oxides or similar fields, demonstrating a high level of technical proficiency + Fluent communication in both Japanese and English + Ability to collaborate effectively within multicultural teams in a cross-functional environment + Behaviors: + Possesses excellent research skills to identify new markets, prospective clients, and explore novel product applications, including in-depth research of potential and existing client + Demonstrates strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders + Proven ability to collaborate effectively, manage projects, and contribute as a valuable team member **About the pay and benefits** + Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Japan) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 9,260,160 JPY to 11,575,200 JPY, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
