Business Development Manager - Michels Preconstruction Services, Inc.

As a Business Development Manager, your key responsibility will be to cultivate new opportunities through relationship development and creation of brand awareness. This individual must serve as an ambassador for Michels, and promote Michels as the contractor of choice, while providing support in the development and preservation of client relationships. You will attend industry days, pre-bid meetings, host DBE/WBE/SBE outreach days and attend site walks. You will also work closely and collaborate with the Marketing, Supplier Diversity, Alternative Delivery and the Proposal teams. You will research and build relationships with both design partners and subcontractors. You will champion projects by supporting, promoting, and advocating for successful project delivery. You are industrious, positive, and reliable.

What it takes?

3+ years of experience in the construction industryBackground in engineering and/or project management is desired but not requiredFamiliarity with public sector workBusiness development experience is desired but not requiredExperience presenting to large groups or forums Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving recordTravel required – will travel up to 50% of the timeSalesforce experience is a plus
