As a Business Development Manager at Aldevron, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth and fostering client relationships. You will be a quota carrying member of the Sales Team, responsible for proactively engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and promoting our entire portfolio of products and manufacturing solutions. This role is crucial to supporting Aldevron’s intention to grow its support of cell and gene therapy development in Europe.
This position is part of the Sales Function and will be fully remote. You will be a part of the EMEA Sales Organization and report to the EMEA Sales Leader.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the following:
+ Sales Quota Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and Key Business Objectives (KBO’s) by identifying opportunities, creating tailored sales strategies, and closing deals.
+ Business Development: Identify and qualify new leads and opportunities by researching and understanding the client base, market trends and customer demands in your region. The Senior Account Manager works closely with all relevant business units and operations teams at Aldevron to develop and implement a sales strategy that will grow Aldevron’s market share in Europe.
+ Funnel Management and Forecasting: Routinely provide accurate forecasts, delivering visibility to new sales opportunities and proactively manage your territory funnel leveraging BANT criteria for accurate deal staging.
+ Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Aldevron products, services, and manufacturing solutions to effectively educate and advise clients on their benefits and applications.
+ Client Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments with clients to understand their unique requirements and challenges, then recommend appropriate products and manufacturing solutions.
+ CRM Utilisation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ‘Customer Relationship Management’ (CRM) system, ensuring all interactions are documented for future reference.
Qualifications:
+ Life-science degree is a must with a minimum of a BSc Hons. in a relevant scientific field. MSc or PhD is preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a client-facing sales role in the life sciences industry, with preferred experience selling into the cell and gene therapy industry is preferred.
+ Broad technical understanding in the field of molecular and cell biology, with a clear understanding of advanced therapeutics, for example gene editing, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies and cell therapies such as CAR-T.
+ Technical experience in a CDMO focusing on advanced therapeutics is a plus.
+ Demonstrated experience in developing territory and business development plans which serve to expand the business
Territory and Travel
Your territory includes all account types in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. This is a field-based role with travel expected to be at least 50%.Danaher
