FORWARDING EXPERTS WITH GLOBAL REACH & LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for:

Responsible for strategic decisions around business development targets within the territory and ensuring the implementation of these objectivesResponsible for making sales calls and in conjunction with the Sales Manager to provide updates and status on sales development plans and to provide analysis of the sales performance against agreed targets.Assist in setting budgets/targets; (in conjunction with Sales Manager).Reporting at pre specified times using agreed report format to the GM Sales.Ensuring that Sales Force and other tools are used and maintained and reports correctly completedMaintaining detailed knowledge of the company's products or services.Maintain market and competitive knowledgeFeeding back to marketing and technical new trends or products / services in the marketplaceRepresent the DHL Ocean Bulk and Group to customersFollow up corporate accounts at country level in co-ordination with our Business Development Director.Gross margin target definition.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Industry Knowledge & experience of the Bulk Liquid Market and Chemical industry (mandatory)Minimum five (5) years previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in Field Sales logistics sales / commercial selling and negotiation & similar roles (mandatory)Proven track record in sales and sales development preferably in the freight forwarding/shipping industryExcellent verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquetteExcellent record of achievement and strong influencing style, articulate and confidentExcellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present at board levelBe result driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills with a high degree of attention to detail and a professional work ethic.Values a diverse and inclusive work environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmentAbility to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectivelyGiven the autonomous nature of this role, you're comfortable working independentlyDemonstrated experience and capability in building sales pipelines within the challenging COVID digital landscape.Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Fluent in English languageCustomer Service centric focusTeamwork, positive and can-do attitudeOrganisational skillsLeadershipAppropriate Tertiary qualification i.e., Diploma or Degree certification (preferred)
