Purpose of Role: As the Business Development Manager - West, you will have an unwavering ability to develop, deliver and implement strategic and sustainable value propositions for Weir customers.

Using your well-adverse sales and business development skills, you will foster trust, reliability and strength through knowledge of the Weir Group of products and services, with the ultimate goal of positioning Weir as the partner of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Ownership: Take charge of assigned projects, ensuring maximum product engagement.

Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain deep relationships with key Engineering Houses and End Users.

Training & Development: Coordinate and present training sessions for new products and services.

Strategic Planning: Prepare and execute project strategy documents to win relevant product packages.

CRM Management: Use CRM tools to share intel, coordinate activities, and monitor project pipelines.

Market Analysis: Consolidate competitor analysis and develop counter strategies.

Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to develop necessary collateral and share best practices.

Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor degree, preferable Process or Mechanical Engineering and advantage

Strong business acumen, including the ability to be an innovative and entrepreneurial thinker 

Strong customer awareness with the ability to find the customer’s drivers.

Technical depth of knowledge in the minerals processing arena

Prior experience with Weir Products would be highly advantageous
