The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Business Development Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: + Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of new growth opportunities, including partnerships and market expansion. + Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support decision-making on growth initiatives. + Develop business cases, financial models, and go-to-market strategies for new platforms. + Build and implement a roadmap for inorganic partnerships aligned with 3M’s core capabilities and consumer needs. + Identify emerging consumer trends, market opportunities, and disruptive technologies that can serve as growth drivers. + Collaborate across functions in a matrixed environment. + Coach and develop team members in financial analysis. + Collaborate with R&D to identify and accelerate the development of new products, and technologies, and strengthen the pipeline through strategic partnerships. + Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. + Communicate growth strategies and progress to senior leadership and the broader organization. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Finance or Management (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR + Bachelor's degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a Master's degree in Business Administration (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND + Three (3) years of combined experience in finance, banking, business, corporate development, business development or consulting in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. + Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. + Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. + Strategic thinker with strong business acumen. + Growth mindset, able to manage ambiguity and focus on innovation. + Results-driven. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Positive, collaborative mindset, adaptable to changing business needs. + Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a focus on tackling challenges with enthusiasm.
