Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an entry-level opportunity that will drive lead generation and business development strategy through research, establishing new relationships, generating meetings, and collaborating closely with teammates to close new business opportunities. This hire will work with the Principal & Director of Strategy and Growth along with a small peer group to achieve pipeline goals. In addition, the role will have support from marketing and sales operations to supplement the sales process with creating strategic prospect plans, leveraging the CRM to stay organized and drive results, and assisting with in-pipeline marketing. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a results-oriented mindset, possessing strong communication skills and experience using a CRM to document and track the process. Primary Responsibilities:
Focus on outbound prospecting efforts and building leads through research Research, identify, and qualify new leads that lead to opportunities for sales team Collaborate on strategies to establish communication and engagement with prospective clients to generate interest in an initial meeting Contribute to prospecting campaigns Understand prospects’ challenges and industry trends and insights Collaborate on sales/prospecting best practices and bring creative lead generation ideas to each team meeting Add, maintain, and track business development efforts, forecasts, and activity in CRM Achieve (and exceed) your quarterly and annual lead quotaPreferred Skills and Experience:

This is a remote position. Candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the U.S. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman offices in Windsor, CT and/or Minneapolis, MN as needed and travel nationwide for meetings, conferences, etc. (5-15%).
Compensation
Base Salary: $51,000 - $98,000 per year, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Performance-based Bonus: Up to 20% of Base SalaryMilliman Benefits
