The Business Development Representative at Ivanti is responsible for qualifying and developing cross-sell, up-sell, and net new business from existing customers in EMEA. This mid-level opportunity offers a rewarding career in technical sales and service with the potential for growth into enterprise sales or marketing. Top candidates would want to join the Ivanti team for the chance to work with a dynamic Sales and Marketing team, gain experience in software and technology sales, leverage social selling and prospecting techniques, and contribute to a fast-paced and adaptable environment. What You Will Be Doing
Qualify and develop cross-sell, up-sell, and net new business from existing customers Prospect and develop new customer leads Meet business and phone metrics Deliver qualified opportunities to drive sales pipeline Work closely with sales and marketing teams Follow up on marketing-generated leads Create strategies to convert leads into qualified opportunities Utilize phone, email, and LinkedIn InMail for outreach
To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have
Bachelor's degree preferred Telemarketing or inside sales experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with social selling and prospecting Knowledge of software and technology sales Proficiency with Salesforce and customer contact database Strong desire to be a top sales performer Highly motivated and adaptable to change
Roadmap for Success
First 90 Days:
Learn about Ivanti's products and solutions Familiarize yourself with the company culture and sales processes Understand the target market and customer personas Shadow experienced team members to learn best practices Build relationships with marketing and sales team members Develop a deep understanding of the existing customer base in EMEA Meet and exceed daily call and talk time metrics Qualify and develop leads from marketing-generated activities Deliver qualified opportunities to drive sales pipeline Attend and actively participate in marketing events and webinars
First 6 Months:
Continue to build relationships with customers, prospects, and partners Proactively identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with existing customers Expand the network through social selling and prospecting on LinkedIn Schedule virtual or face-to-face meetings with prospects and customers Contribute to call campaigns and call-out days with Ivanti Partners Effectively use Salesforce and customer contact database for contact management Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized sales strategies Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in Salesforce Meet and exceed weekly call, talk time, and pipeline metrics Handle incoming product requests and questions via Drift chat tool
First 12 Months:
Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and metrics Identify and close net new business opportunities Develop an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape Continuously learn and innovate sales techniques and strategies Provide feedback and insights on product positioning and customer needs to the marketing team Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the EMEA market Stay updated on industry trends and changes in customer needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer success Contribute to the development of sales and marketing collateral Mentor and support new hires joining the business development team
