The Work You'll Do:

Are you driven, personable, and excited about connecting businesses with innovative solutions? As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Sovos, you’ll play a pivotal role in fueling our growth by identifying new opportunities and building relationships with potential clients. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on engaging conversations, strategic thinking, and helping organizations discover how Sovos can solve their most complex tax compliance challenges.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of Sovos’ mission to simplify compliance, serving as the first point of contact for prospective clients. Through strategic outreach, networking, and leveraging cutting-edge tools, you’ll create meaningful connections and set the stage for successful partnerships. Your work will directly contribute to Sovos’ success and provide you with the opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced, global organization.

More specifically, you will:

Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through strategic prospecting, networking, and follow-ups on marketing campaigns. Effectively introduce and promote Sovos’ solutions to potential clients, aligning their needs with our offerings. Partner with Sales Executives to create and execute territory plans, contributing to team success. Provide regular forecasts on revenue goals and pipeline activity, ensuring alignment with team objectives. Propose and implement improvements to outreach strategies, processes, and tools to optimize team performance. Engage with mid- to executive-level contacts to build strong relationships and drive new opportunities. Use a structured telemarketing and selling process to achieve individual and team targets.

What We Need From You

Some experience in a business development or sales role, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding quotas. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage audiences of various sizes and levels. Highly organized with effective planning, prioritization, and time-management abilities. Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with a drive to continuously improve and contribute to team success. Quick learner with creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic conversations. Professional demeanor and ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
