What will your new (rail)way look like?
You will actively scan the market to detect and develop opportunities in Rail Signaling, with following expertise and knowledge:
On track signaling systems based on Interlocking and ERTMS systems (European Rail Traffic Management System), more specifically ETCS Level 1 Limited & Full Supervision and ETCS Level 2 The CENELEC V-cycle for system engineering and software development, verification and validation (FAT and SAT) and safety with different SIL levels should be known. Material components related to Interlocking (track vacancy detection, axel counters, level crossings, …) and ETCS standards like LEU (lineside electronic unit), JRU, DMI and GSM-R communication used in modern rail signaling world should be known. Experience in homologation (NOBO, NSA) steps for ETCS integration in trains and locomotives are an advantage. Knowledge about the process to obtain European subsidies (INEA - Innovation and Networks Executive Agency) related to the ETCS implementation on infrastructure of fleet would be very much appreciated. Certificates and information gathered from regulation bodies like ERA (European Rail Agency), Unife (European Rail Supply Industry Association), EIM (European Rail Infrastructure managers), ... are appreciated. Knowledge about SaaS Solutions and cybersecurity guidelines for Mobility sector (NIS) are appreciated as well. Experience in ETCS onboard projects would be very much appreciated.What are your responsibilities?
Market development for the different signaling offerings SMO has. Develop customer contacts: build-up relevant contacts at different public and private transport customers. Detect customer needs and link them to the possibilities SMO can offer. Build up and maintain good relationship with SMO-HQ who is provider of different portfolio elements. Manage (potential) business partners to realize successful offerings. Communicate and collaborate with the different Business Units of SMO BeLux to involve them in the complete sales cycle. Be up-to-date with our existing and future portfolio elements Develop a multi-year opportunity pipeline with short, mid- and long term goals to achieve Take the lead in the creation of successful offers toward our customers (answering on the real needs of the customer, taking into account the SMO strategic directions/priorities, ensuring long term profitable business) Turn winning proposals into successful business transactions.What are your skills?
5 years experience in rail signaling is mandatory. Experience in sales transactions is an advantage. Experience in CAPEX (f.e. licenses, investments, projects,…) or OPEX (Maas, Cloud, SAAS, …) oriented sales transactions is an advantage Getting energy from listening and providing solutions and services to our customers is a must. Partnership orientation towards our customers in the sales attitude is a differentiator. Good practice in Dutch, French and English is mandatoryYou've had some training
Governmental procedures (“public tendering”) – official EU tendering , attribution criteria systematics, … Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation in the Rail Signaling General knowledge of professional ICT/OT/Software environments and systems Understanding the general signaling concepts as Interlocking and ETCS is a must.Hi Team Player!
