We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and help drive the expansion of our business. In this role, you will work with the Agency partners to solicit business to drive agency portfolio growth across Auto, MidCorp and other Business Lines.
You will be an advocate of the organization with our agency partners, and an important partner to the local underwriting team. Sales and customer service performance are closely measured, and you must be comfortable working in a target driven environment, with individual KPI’s focused on a defined agent group. You will also develop business strategies, campaign and events to further develop relationships with our agency partner with respect to sales production, retention and overall branding.
Responsibilities:
Implement sales and business development strategy to drive agency portfolio growth and consistently achieve revenue targets. Establish strong partnership with our agency partner, working closely with them to understand the prospects’ insurance needs and to provide the appropriate general insurance advice. Facilitate the exchange of crucial information and negotiations between our agency partner and underwriting teams to increase the binding rate. Support Agency recruitment activities and achieve recruitment target and revenue. Facilitate Agency campaigns, training, product launches and event initiatives to steer revenue growth in the target segment and product. Regular business reporting and presentation to internal and external stakeholders Collaborate with internal departments for problem solving and service improvement to enhance the ease of doing business
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred. At least 3 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry, preferably in the General Insurance industry with agency business A strong network of agents within the insurance industry Familiar with general insurance products (P&C or Auto preferred) with proven sales track record Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with agents. Driven, resourceful and possess strong influencing ability across a diverse group of stakeholders Possession of relevant Insurance certifications (e.g., BCP, PGI, ComGI). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to track and analyze performance data.
