In this role, you will:
Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause testing of all compliance and business metrics
Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work
Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations
Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables
Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business
Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business
Collaborate and consult with leaders and executive management
Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Deep understanding of the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its IRR, and other NPC issuances.
Experience with implementing best practices related to delivering privacy and data protection, breach management or regulatory privacy projects or other similar work.
Juris doctor’s degree or bachelor’s degree in law, information technology, or related discipline.
2+ years of related work experience in an in-house privacy team or data privacy consulting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including management, employees, and data subjects.
Proven ability to effectively collaborate.
Keeps up to date with the Security and Privacy Industry – following the industry’s advancements, challenges, and discovery.
Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
Job Expectations:
Assist in addressing any inquiries from internal or external stakeholders, including NPC, regarding compliance with the Philippine data privacy law and the Implementing rules.
Provide support in ensuring that all NPC requirements, including registration, reporting of incidents and other relevant notifications, are complied with in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure that enterprise functions are implementing necessary measures to protect the data from breaches, unauthorized access, responding to data subject requests and be able to provide advice and guidance to the relevant stakeholders.
Ensure incidents are reported to Compromised Data (CD) team and coordinate assessments of incidents between the impacted front-line teams, Compromised Data, Privacy Compliance, and Legal teams.
Responsible for assessing learning and awareness requirements, designing, developing and delivering learning content, communications and awareness programs on new regulatory requirements, policy changes or program developments to the Businesses as appropriate.
Assist with monitoring, reporting, escalating, and tracking of privacy risk management activities.
Conduct privacy-related monitoring activities to gain reasonable assurance that controls and risk management processes are well-designed and operating effectively and ensure privacy policy requirement are implemented.
Provide technical understanding of existing and emerging privacy risks, to all stakeholders.
Coordinate with front-line teams, Compliance, Legal, and other stakeholder on actions related to regulatory change management for new regulatory requirements.
Develop, maintain, and communicate privacy-related regional procedures.
Support the control organization in the design and implementation of controls and evaluation.
Assist in reviewing, assessing, supporting, and ensuring Businesses/Enterprise Functions complete Privacy Risk Questionnaires (PRQ) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA/DPIA)
Coordinate with the Regional Privacy Officer in monitoring activities and other Enterprise Privacy initiatives.
Support Legal and other teams in ensuring that adequate contractual language, model contracts or privacy protective language are included in applicable intercompany affiliate agreements and/or third-party contracts.
Escalate privacy-related issues to DPO, management, or RPO for action/resolutions.
Perform gap-assessments on new policy releases and taking appropriate remediation action.
