PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Commercial Finance Leader will support Owens Corning’s Nonwovens business, significantly impacting strategic top-line growth initiatives. This role involves preparing and summarizing recommendations for strategic and operating plans, as well as near-term financial forecasts. The incumbent will collaborate with business and commercial leaders, along with other functional areas, to provide financial insights that drive business results. Additionally, the Commercial Finance Leader will work closely with product/category managers, commercial development leaders, and pricing organizations to continually assess the commercial environment and product portfolio.

Communicate the near and long-term business story to various audiences. Drive the business growth agenda by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities. Develop insights and strategies to deliver financial commitments. Improve our processes and cadence for planning, forecasting, and reporting. Partner with business leadership to manage multiple concurrent projects and work cross-functionally with Marketing, S&T, and operations. Continuously challenge the business to enhance performance. Develop consistent metrics and tools to assess customer and product profitability while growing top line sales.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecasting Excellence
Lead the sales forecasting process for the Nonwovens business segment. Leverage existing systems to develop standard and ad hoc analyses that evaluate backward looking results and forward-looking risks & opportunities. Support investments in new technology solutions to drive simplification, standardization, and automation of financial reporting. Provide standard and ad hoc analyses that evaluate backward looking results and forward-looking risks and opportunities.
Commercial Finance
Collaborate with Commercial Directors, their teams, and the Commercial Excellence Leader to recommend strategies for customer and product line profitability. Analyze market drivers, product profitability, price, volume, and mix. Leverage business partnerships to drive profitable growth in the Nonwovens business.
Enterprise Partnerships
Work with the Nonwovens Extended Leadership Team and Strategic Marketing team to build a comprehensive understanding of the segment. Partner with Science & Technology product development leaders, manufacturing operations, and sales leaders on new product business case development, stage gate reviews, and new product launches. Identify opportunities to drive profitability and achieve or surpass strategic and operational objectives.
Talent
Establish clear accountabilities across the team, foster collaboration, and drive results. Help to create and sustain an environment that promotes talent development through effective performance management, coaching, mentoring, and development planning. Ensure knowledge diversification and succession plans are in place and executed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relate field. 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting. Experience building forecasts, operating plans, and/or management reporting. Experience working across multiple functions and/or businesses. Ability to travel 5-10%.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field. Experience working for a multi-national manufacturing company. Advanced knowledge of SAP and Excel.
